I work with labels, distributors and music companies on royalties and label finance. I've been doing this since 2013, and I still get excited when a difficult statement finally makes sense.

A lot of my work starts with a question that sounds simple: what should this artist be paid? Answering it can mean going back through years of statements, reading the agreements behind them, or sitting down with the people who know why the spreadsheet was built that way. I've done that work at independent labels and a major label's merchandise company, and I want the person reading the statement to be able to follow how we got to the number.

Systems I'm building

I'm working with Claude and Codex on tools for royalty operations, including a workspace that connects contracts, artists, releases, payees and expenses. A separate learning dashboard explores music, film and television rights through worked examples. Both are projects I'm continuing to develop and test.
